This area of London that is so close to parliament and the west end, has recently been massively reinvented. It is now one of London’s most visited attractions, with something for everyone in a very short walk.

How to arrive:

An interesting way to approach, and probably more relaxing is take the tube (subway) to London bridge, where you can walk down to the promenade and slowly glide into the tourist throng. From this end of the south bank area, also known as bankside, you pass the London Dungeon, a treat for all young boys, and the more fearless adult.
