The latest addition to London's skyline, the swiss tower was designed by renowned British architect Sir Norman Foster. Constructed on the site of the former Baltic Exchange which was destroyed by an IRA Bomb several years ago, it is due to be completed in 2004. Standing 41 stories tall, and affectionately known as the Gherkin, it is the second tallest structure in the city after the Natwest Tower. Located in the heart of the city, surrounded by quaint little churches and next to the dominating Lloyds building, it is a must for any city tour. |
